Make sure any program you enter is regionally accredited. Regional accreditation shows that the school has passed a review process that will help ensure that your credits will transfer to other schools and that you are eligible to sit for licensing exams such as the CPA exam.

Check here before you enroll: http://www.chea.org/search/

Regionally accredited Online degrees are the same accreditation as other schools.

Due to the nature of online courses, your in class participation is usually replaced with electronic bulletin board discussion participation on a platform such as Blackboard or ECollege, team projects, or live chats.

The assignments are submitted electronically, usually in Microsoft Word or Excel to be graded by the instructor.

Depending on the University, Exams are taken at an on campus testing center or sent electronically to a pre-approved proctor who is their when you take the exam.

Whether to take it or not depends on your preference. Online courses take more discipline to self start on assignments. It’s a matter of whether you can prefer/need to have a live instructor or can read / comprehend independently and email an instructor when questions come up.

I work for one of the largest employers in the state and we accept all qualified candidates with regionally accredited degrees, regardless of the format.

Online colleges work by taking your money! They are ripoffs and your education will be subpar. Stay away from forprofit school like: Kaplan, Capella, UOP, ITT Tech, AIU etc. The cost is so outrageous: in two years you will spend close to 60K if not more. Yes you will have a degree in record time but many employers consider these degrees absolutely worthless and for good reason.

If you want to get an online degree, look into bonafide schools in your area. Many real colleges offer distance education and you can earn most or all of your degree online. You will be admitted as a regular student and will have to get all the books, go through all the admissions processes, but atleast you will earn a real degree that any employer will recognize. There is no such thing as a quick degree and if it sounds to good to be true, you need to stay away.

in case you easily carry out the artwork for the IL college in IL, you may owe IL earnings tax on that earnings. in case you performed the artwork from WI, you does no longer owe IL taxes. If IL taxes have been withheld even nevertheless you probably did no longer do any artwork in IL, you need to document a non-resident IL return exhibiting $0 earnings and the IL tax that become withheld as a manner to have that refunded to you. connect an explanatory notice to the return that IL taxes have been withheld in errors because of the fact that not one of the artwork become performed in IL. WI can and could tax that earnings. If no WI tax become withheld, you may owe once you document your WI return. you will use the tax refund from IL to help conceal your WI taxes, yet WI won’t credit you with the IL taxes withheld.
