Acceptance to colleges.?

Alright here it goes. I’m a senior in high school, stressing out over colleges. I’ve driven myself to this sharp pinnacle where I truly believe no college will accept me. Help assuage my mind?

I have around a 3.7 right now, and I’ve never been below a 3.5. Nearly all my classes are honors except some in my freshman and sophomore year, when I didn’t know what was going on (yeah don’t ask). I’ve gotten a 1160 on my SAT, and have taken 2 AP English/Lit classes.

I’m in the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, an internship, am an editor in our school literary magazine, have volunteered for a few years at the Humane Society, and have won several writing/photography awards.

I’m a good writer, so my essay should be alright.

I’m applying for the University of Florida, Florida State University, and several small liberal arts colleges. (This is all instate.)

Do I have any chance, and what could increase my chances?

Haha i’d have to agree with the girl that answered before me, with a transcript like that it would be hard not to be accepted unless you were attempting to go to an “elite” school like Harvard or Baylor. But you should have no problem at all getting into any state university. Good luck in college.

I believe that you will, without a question, get into FSU and the smaller colleges. However, UF is known as the Ivy of Florida, and is known to be very difficult to get into. When I went for a meeting with my counselor and told her that I want to go to UF, she said that she knew a girl who had a 4.1 GPA that didn’t get in. I hope this helps, and please don’t get discouraged!

*If you are in the top 5% of your high school class and you live in Florida, UF guarantees you admission.

P.S. – Don’t listen to everyone that says you have a big ego. At least you are prepared for college. They’re just jealous 🙂

I’d say that it is bigger to simply get well grades, take plenty of AP categories, volunteer (group provider fairly is helping), ensure you’ve gotten a few extracurriculars (golf equipment, groups, some thing), and to jot down well software essays. Technically speakme, praying may not broaden your possibilities of being authorized into one school or one other. Even in the event you spend per week directly in prayer, you are no longer going into Harvard on a seventy five ordinary and 1600 SAT.

I think you already know that your achievements are more than enough to get into the type of schools to which you’ve applied. The information that each university hands out to prospective students outlines the type of requirements for every program–if you have reviewed this material, you should be aware of this.

What the hell kind of bullshit ego boosting question is this? Obviously you’ll be accepted. Go do your homework.
