If You can’t afford to get a private after school tutor you may need to ask your current teacher and i’m sure they will be able to help you. In other cases you could buy a revision guide and they will explain things to you in greater detail. You could also go on to websites ut these depend on where abouts you are from, from uk you could try www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize and there you can try all sorts of things including getting better at math!

Hope this helps xxxx

Lord Percy Fawcette-Smythe.
I cannot for the life of me understand why Americans insist calling MATHS, MATH, its longer form is mathematics so why math, is it because you are lazy in your speech or written work, as in the dropping of the vowel u as in colour? The basis of maths is logic, there is a progression which must be followed and rules applied. There are, of course, aide memoirs you can adopt, for instance the word BODMAS to solve algebra problems,

(B)rackets

(O)rder

(D)ivision

(M)ultiplication

(A)ddition

(S)ubtraction

Like in most forms of education the knowledge of how to approach the problem is the key factor, some poor teachers readily assume that you know what they are talking about, alas, this makes it difficult for the less able to keep up with the rest. A good tutor will work to all abilities and give guidance to the less able. See your maths teacher and explain (in good diction) that you are finding it difficult. If the tutor is of any value he/she will take trouble over you, they do not like failures as it will reflect on them. Good luck with your mathematics, it is a great subject.

I have the same experience as yours… I think we really need a tutor to teach us some extra lesson… But it also helps to really pay attention and follow the steps/ process especially in solving some problems… Try to follow how the instructor does the work and be able to do it yourself. you’ll get used to it…

There are many self taught turos are available. You can find the one from schoolwiz site. Many doubts, as a student, you can get clarified from your teacher during the period or after the school hrs.

when paying attention in school still doesn’t help you learn something, you might need a tutor. some extra, personal help.
