It is possible you could have a learning disability….it affects math abilities for some people, believe it or not…not just reading or writing.

I had similar problems when I was your age. Couldn’t read a ruler until I was 20 and I am not kidding. Still can’t add or subtract in my head and use my fingers to do so. You are probably like me, very intelligent in other areas. I have always been excellent in English, language, etc. The great thing is that when you are an adult you can start a career that utilizes your assets and not something like you can’t do math. I am a paralegal now. Great money and love my job…and best of all….NO MATH. Don’t worry about what you don’t know. Focus on what you do!!!

Some people have brains that just aren’t wired for math. I had the same problem. The exception was Geometry (which I aced). Even in college, I had to take every math class twice because I just couldn’t figure it out. I took algebra in college and happened to have the right teacher. Everything clicked. It was not entirely the teacher, but also the text (Schwahms outline series). Now, I have no problems with algebra, but calculus I just had to drop. It’s very frustrating when you live in a family of math-able folks or teachers think you just aren’t trying.

i think you just don’t have any interests in numbers or you’re distracted by other things. I’ve got “Best in Math” awards back in elementary but when I reached high school, I started failing in my math subjects…until college, when I really had these two good teachers (differential and integral calculus), where I started to again have interest in numbers. I saw that I was distracted, wasn’t listening to the instructor, and I was lost! I do suggest you have a tutor or ask your teacher if he/she could give time after class to help you out. And when you’re able to do this, DO NOT BE ASHAMED TO ASK QUESTIONS, no matter how crazily easy it would seem. And learn to listen and understand well. =)

some people really have difficulty understanding math. perhaps it’s because you haven’t found a way to learn it in a way that you could understand it easily… for example the < >.. think of it this way, imagine < and > is a the game pacman, and pacman only eats the bigger number. so for example 1<2 means 1 is less than 2, while 2>1 means 2 is greater than 1.. you see, pacman only eats the big number. try getting a tutor or a close friend teach you. someone who really knows you so that he or she knows how to talk and explain to you in a way that you will really understand. also, think of what you really like and use it in your math problems.

some human beings particularly merely are not sturdy at math and sometime is merely takes construction a uncomplicated be attentive to-how of math to get it. in case you probably did no longer get a sturdy beginning up in math then it particularly is going to be particularly confusing to benefit it in a while. in case you actual need to benefit math then right this is what i might propose: a million.Make a itemizing of issues you have problems with. case in point, I understand theory particularly nicely while it includes math and technology yet i’m poor at memorizing equation. Like, particularly particularly poor and have struggled in college with it. I additionally 2d wager my math paintings which makes me pissed off and keeps a cycle of frustration. 2. consult with you instructor approximately what you’re having problems with. in the event that they are no longer helpful (because of the fact some instructors merely particularly are not) attempt speaking to a various instructor or consistent with probability a chum it particularly is sturdy at math. Or, see if there is somebody that tutors for math on your section or a discovering midsection for tutoring. once I chanced on a chum that ought to take a seat and coach me I have been given plenty greater advantageous. by utilising having somebody pass over a team (and that i propose a team) of problems and help me once I have been given caught I outfitted up self belief in doing math equations.

You have psychological problem. You believe you cant learn mathematics and you don’t let your self to learn it. Somebody told you its difficult and you believe it.

Math is very simple if you have good basis in knowledge. Start to learn from start without any pressure that you HAVE TO learn it. Play with it, Relax and search for solutions…if you are into any sport, you know that to be good in it takes time and everyday training. The same is with math. Find somebody who will explain things that are not clear to you in easy, understandable way and find some exercises who will be interesting, practical and entertaining. You will not even notice how your knowledge grows…

<> > it points to the future so its bigger.

< points to the past so smaller. um if you have a # with a little 2 next to it that means #x# not #x2
