isnt it a class room disturbanceif a teacher walks in the class room 2 talk 2 the other teacher?
but ithe principle doesnt think that is but if its a student walking in or wearing a shirt then ts a class room disturance??
it dsnt make sense 2 me..

If a teacher has great classroom management skills, then it shouldn’t matter if another teacher, student, or principal comes in to the classroom. A very simple, “Excuse me for a moment class” is all that it takes. And part of class management is teaching your students how to respond when a visitor comes into the classroom. Take out a silent reading book, finish the page we’re on, complete the next 10 problems on your own, edit your essay, etc. An occasional interruption should not mean learning stops.

I think that both are disturbances, but you have to figure if it is a necessary disturbance or not. There may be a reason why one teacher is coming in to talk to another teacher. There is no reason to be wearing T-shirts with rude sayings on them. In our district we are starting something called time on task to make sure that teachers have more uninterrupted time with students. This will cut down on teachers coming in to talk to other teachers. As far as the T-shirts go…students should just get over it.

Well normally, teachers don’t talk to eachother in the middle of class just out of hobby or for fun, it’s generally a specific reason. Secondly, teachers have more authority than you and principals have more authority than the teachers /and/ you, so it doesn’t really matter if it doesn’t make sense, unless you’re planning a public school revolution. Sorry. You’ve got several more years of it :-/

Teachers have to coordinate programs, classwork and student activities. In order to do that sometimes they need to talk to one another for job related reasons. That is why the principal is not upset about teachers walking in to talk to one another once in a while.
