I assume that your question refers to doing a presentation, teaching a lesson, giving a speech, etc, and the inherent difficulty of hitting the right level for the audience who comes with a variety of ability and knowledge. Well the only way I can do this is to make sure that everyone understands the important concepts, by highlighting them and asking everyone if they got it, and by providing a few moments of advanced material so that the more well prepared can have a moment. The advanced material will also provide a context for others when they learn more.
Any audience is diverse. Skill and knowledge, even in a classroom, varies tremendously.
