Where to find articles / short stories?
My school distrcit is starting to incorporate reading levels within the classroom. This means that I need to have materials and be teaching students that range from the 4th grade level of reading all the way through the 12th grade. I teach 8th grade, but have very different levels of readers in my room. Anyways, where can I go to get articles or short stories for the students whose reading levels are grades 9 and up. I am having a real difficult time with this so if anyone has any websites or anytihng like that I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

I find that the internet doesn’t really have a good selection of textual material.
Great places are newspapers (look at headlines, visual literacy), science magazines, national geographic magazines, picture books, short stories (Paul Jennings ‘Un’ series), Novel extracts. However you need to be critical about the texts you choose.
