Question about alternative certification in Florida?
I would like to hear from others who have chose to become a teacher via alternative certification in Florida. I am wondering if it was hard finding a job to begin the certification program? How long did the program take? Your enjoyment and satisfication, or lack of, with the program? Also, was it hard gaining the certification after the program was completed?
And of course any other advice is appreciated.

1. I don’t know about New York, but in some states you can be certified as a substitute teacher with a Bachelor’s in anything. 2. There are some inner city and rural areas that have trouble attracting teachers. You might check to see if there are any of those in the part/s of New York you’re thinking about. I believe such places might be allowed more flexibility re specific qualifications.
