Making a curriculum map in my education class and I need major help!?
I am in college in Ohio and I am making a curriculum map for a third grade classroom and I keep looking at the content standards books and my eyes just keep bugging out of my head. How do I decide what needs to be taught first? We have to go all four subject areas and I just figure out how to get started. Please help me.

Look at the curriculum that you are using. We use Scott Foresman reading series, and they have all of the standards written out for you. Even if your curriculum doesn’t have the stadards, you can look them up and get what is close to what you are using.

Try doing a google search on curriculum mapping and you will get some examples of maps that are already done. This should help you get started. We use the Atlas Rubicon templates at our school.
If I you can’t find it just e-mail me and I can try and send you a copy of one of our maps.
Once you get going you’ll see it’s really easy to slot in the standards, questions, resources etc. It’s a great tool.
