can anyone do correction for me in the following.?

Why are you thinking of becoming a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language?

I love teaching English and I think if I take this course it can also help me to teach the students efficiently and effectively. I have also taken an English Language course at the British Council and I was very much influenced by the teachers, the way they used to teach the lessons, the teaching aids which they used and the methodology they used in the process of teaching a lesson. I also learned a lot from them and if I get a chance to do this course I will definitely work very hard to achieve my goals and also fulfil the needs and expectations of my students.

What do you think makes a good teacher?

A good teacher is someone who is concerned about his/her students. Knows the needs and expectations of his/her students and is ready to fulfil them until they are satisfied. Has good knowledge of the subject that he/she teaches and is able to answer the questions of the students correctly. A good teacher

Why are you thinking of becoming a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language?

I love teaching English and I think if I take this course it can help me to teach students more efficiently and effectively than I otherwise could. I have also taken an English Language course at the British Council and I was very much influenced by the teachers – the way they used to teach the lessons, the teaching aids which they used and the methodology they used in the process of teaching a lesson. I also learned a lot from them and if I get a chance to do this course I will definitely work very hard to achieve my goals and strive to fulfill the needs and expectations of my students.

What do you think makes a good teacher?

A good teacher is someone who is concerned about his/her students. They know the needs and expectations of his/her students and is ready to fulfill them until they are satisfied. It is essential for he/she to have a good knowledge of the subject that he/she teaches and is able to answer the questions of the students correctly and in detail. All of these qualities combined make a good teacher.

Teaching is not an exact science. It is generally directed to the center of the intelligence pool. The gifted or the slow can be either ignored or left out.

A good teacher has to recognize the students as a group of people who are in the bell curve for intelligence. You have some that are ready for lifes fast learning and others that you will have to work with daily to understand that point 9 is less than one.

English, the american type, is contextual. That is it means what the hearer should expect it to mean. You see a horrible accident, and a man there says, isn’t that just great! He does not mean this is good, he means it is very very bad.

Queens english is not like that. The words actually mean something.

You as a teacher of english will need to seperate the gifted and slow from the herd of generally intelligent people with teaching geared to all three groups.

A degree of caring is needed. Yet a discerning eye to see where the students are is also needed. You also need to challenge your students. Make them work to both express what they want and write while maintaining the standard you set in class.

a wise teacher sometimes will have the class make the rules which are written down on paper. When the class violates the rules you point to the paper and say, here is the standard you want, we will stick to this.
