Unleash the “authentic teacher” inside of you. What I mean by this is that you should develop your own style, based on your own personality and understanding of the material you teach. The biggest problem I find with with teachers (especially new teachers) is that they try to copy someone else’s style. While this is understandable in the beginning, students will come to sense when you are not being yourself (and attack that weakness, or at least not respond to your teaching). Furthermore, the teacher who is not being him or herself is always uncomfortable in the classroom.

So, experiment with different styles and methods; determine the means by which YOU would best learn the information; use teaching methods that make sense to YOU.

I’m not saying that you should only teach in one style (i.e., all lecture, or all group), or that you should ignore those learning/teaching styles that don’t come naturally to you. Instead, I am saying that you should make sure the core of your teaching is founded on your personality (and then make adaptions as you encounter gaps caused by learning styles among your students that are not being met by your teaching style).

DON’T BE A ROBOT! If you are, you will never be happy in the classroom…

Well, the teacher must be able to give attention to each and every student. No favorites. The teacher can’t be too strict, but they’re always rules. The teacher has to develop a positive character for himself. It would be nice if they gave a nice warm story or laugh once in a while.

That depends on what you are interested in learning. I once meet a girl that wasn’t really a school teacher but as time when by we became really close and one day she took all her clothes of and then wow?

Didn’t she teach me a thing or two. I never forgot that really good lesson she gave to me in life. it has left a lasting impressing in my life. Sticks in my head all the time.

your instinct which makes you feel sympethetic towards students and which makes u believe that the STUDENT IS ALWAYS RIGHT(irrespective of what ever he does) makes you a VERY GOOD TEACHER. Just believe me.

A sense of humor, dedication, willingness to learn.
