You will write lesson plans and work with students that they feel may need more help or fit the needs of the group you will be assigned.

I did two practicums for my master degree: one for kids with learning disabilities and one with emotionally disturbed kids. I worked with no more than 5 kids at a time. I was give specific goals for them and wrote my plans around those goals.

It was fun and gives you a good insight into the types of kids that you will encounter during your career.
