I’m looking for an old phonics program…?

That was published by Beacon Enterprises, Inc in 1974 and as close as I can come is called Self-pronouncing Alphabet Beginning to Read Program and was authored by Bertra Mason Kusik. One of the books that goes with the series is titled Animal Babies and there is a large flip chart that has an outline of a letter with the shape of it’s animal inside the letter. (ie an ape inside the letter a) with the saying “A,a,a,a,a,a, ape. Come to the Zoo for a gape” written under the picture. Is there ANYBODY that can help me find this series? I want to use it with my daughter when we start to homeschool. Thanks for your help!!

I strongly recommend FUNdations. I just went to a conference about the program and it seems like a wonderful program, its really kicking off in many school districts that can afford it (at least $20 per student). But if you just have your daughter it should be very reasonable. Its also more up to date and very well recommend by Reading education resources.

The quandary that lots of parents end up in is they don’t really have the full time to find the right eBook s and learning framework with which to instruct their children but with this plan https://tr.im/CUuGs , Children Learning Reading this problem is arrived at a end.

Children Learning Reading is very detailed, and your youngster can have no issues assimilating the lessons whilst the instructions are well-designed. Because the system is based on phonetics, the training method is gradual.

In Children Learning Reading program the instructions are distinctive and can’t be present in different learning methods.

I haven’t heard of that program, BUT, it sounds a lot like “Zoo Phonics.” It is a wonderful program geared toward kindergarten students. I have seen it used and the kids really enjoy the chants and gestures. More importantly, it WORKS!
