It’ll probably be delayed, but eventually arrive.
The first sorting is by zipcode, so depending on how wrong you got it, it could go to a post office which doesn’t serve the address on the package. They’ll look up the correct zip, write it on the package, and send it to the right post office for delivery. This adds 1 – 3 days, depending on their efficiency.

It is supposed to work the way the firt person said but sometimes it doesnt and I have had packages returned to me. If it is going to be returned it usually takes 7-10 mailing days. If by the 7th day you havent seen it usually it is enroute to the correct place. I work with numbers all day long and often write my home zip for letters that I mail. I started using preprinted labels for places that I mail to on a regular basis
I hope this helps

Mail sorters visually scan the zip code first so it will go to the wrong city and they will try to deliver it. If you get a jerky postal carrier it will be returned to you. If you get a nice one that actually looks at the city, they may look it up and change it. I’ve done this a couple of times and 3 out of 4 times it came back to me and I had to repay the postage to get it to the right town.
