1. A good student performs assignments in a proficient and timely manner with good effort and original thinking ( it is not about a high level of intelligence but an expectation to do good quality work. OK, yes, their work is easier to grade)

2. A good student gets along well with others, is cooperative and is excited about learning (go figure, we are social creatures)

3. A good student is responsible and prepared to learn with necessary tools/materials/supplies (can spend more time on the task of learning)

1) Inquisitive: They need to want to know and learn more. They need to be asking questions and answering questions and thinking outside the box.

2) Respectful: Every student needs to be respectful and in my school that isn’t always the case. A respectful student is a wonderful example for the other students as well as a pleasure to have in class.

3) Meticulous: A good student wants to know what it is that you, as the teacher, wants from them. The student wants to understand the work and how it should be done. This student works hard to do it correctly.

Also, a good student (and good person) learns from their mistakes and isn’t afraid to make them. The student loves learning and strives to always be learning more. He/she is in class and ready to learn. A good student isn’t necessarily the one who’s always wanting to be around the teacher and be the helper and/or assistant because this person may just be trying to find an easy way out of work.
