What college classes do you need to take to be a school teacher?
I’m going to college this year and so far I’m just taking education classes and calculus. Do you need any other classes to actually become a teacher?

There are guidance counselors at the universities. Make an appointment when you enroll. That person will develop a four year plan for becoming a teacher. That way, you won’t take and pay for some classes you don’t even need. You could also get the same info from the university’s on line site. Good luck.

You need to enter your schools education program and decide on what field of education you want to go into (Math, Science, elementary, PE, Art, etc.). Your college’s education program will help you get the right classes and exams to enable you to get your teacher’s certification.

Check with your advisor and with the education department at your school to make sure you are meeting the requirments. you’ll probably have to student teach and a lot of schools make you take general courses. i would also talk to other students in the education field to make sure you’re on the right course. you don’t want to waste time with the wrong courses.
