I guess one that warrants a mention is voice recognition software. I remember about ten years ago -the technology was already with us then- it was used in some English language teaching programmes. It was okay for the ‘Wow’ factor, but other than that it was full of bugs and glitches.
I haven’t seen the latest software using this technology, but I’m sure it has come a long way since, particularly if used with an interactive whiteboard.
