Private English tutors usually don’t come cheap. I personally have charged as little as W20,000 per hour, or about $22.00 an hour. I have friends who ask and receive W45,000 per hour, or about US$50.00 an hour. Lessons typically are one to two times per week, and can either be one hour in duration, or perhaps two. At any rate, count on a minimum of W160,000 per month, and of course it could be well over W200,000 per month.

well i used to live in korea for 4 years in Weagwan, South Korea. I knew some people that tutored for some koreans. i think they charged 150,000 won = roughly 140-150 US dollars a month. Hope that helps you out.
