I took the GED a few years ago…?

I was told when I got it that it was the same as a High School Diploma (I received a High School Diploma after passing the GED).

Now I’m being told it’s not the same and it’s worth 9 years of school.

I took the GED after 11th grade because I had a lot of family problems. I had enough total credits to graduate high school but I just needed 12th grade English and I could have taken that in summer school.

Is the GED just as good as a High School Diploma??

Well it’s considered the equivalent in most industries, so I’d say yes. I just got mine, and once I get a degree in college, no one is going to ask where I went to high school.
