Then, we usually have a vacation at the end of December (1 or 2 weeks), usually from the 23rd to January 2nd.
My school gives one week off in February and another week off in April; some schools combine those weeks into one 2 week vacation, frequently known as “Spring Break.”
We also have no school on federal holidays (Labor Day, Columbus Day, etc.)

If you feel confused, it’s because some kids are in school during the summer. It was the only way the schools could handle all the students.

December (2 weeks) Christmas Break, New Years
November (1 week) Thanksgiving –American holiday
