one thing you must make sure of is that you really know a good amount of things regarding the topic you choose. you dont want to discuss something and then just clam up when someone asks a question you cant answer. do a bit of research before hand, or ask other people – anything that can help broaden your knowledge about your chosen topic.

Ok, Teach them how to fold origami figures. It takes time, is easy to demonstrate and uses a large part of the time to let them “practice” so that you don’t have to stand up there and talk the whole time.

The key to teaching something is to know a bit about it and to care about it. As long as you’re few steps ahead of your students, you’re going to be able to give them something they didn’t have before.
