HELP…..I am a new teacher….just got a new student that only speaks Spanish?

I got a new student that speaks NO English…I need to find some labels for my classroom that will display the words in English and Spanish….does anyone know where to find them free and online (to print at home)? I need them ASAP

I googled it, but did not come up with anything

There is either the bilingual route or the immersion route.

I would do some of each.

How old is the child? Do you have a bilingual program, or another teacher who speaks Spanish? Google “English to Spanish Dictionary” or check Yahoo reference pages to get a translator if you need something quickly.

you dont need printable labels i dont think. First off, you could ask a student if they know Spanish to help translate. You could go to a Spanish Translator website (Word Reference works really well) and make your own labels. I, myself speak Spanish-

Puerta = Door

Bano = Bathroom

Lapiz = Pencil

Just go to www.wordreference.com and then type in what you need labeled. Then just grab some paper, write what you need on the paper, and use it as the label! Voila

this looks like you might be able to download and get the words you need to create your own flashcards for the classroom

looks like it’s free
