I have a chance at being a young Ambassador for America :)?

I was offered a chance to be an Young ambassador for the united states…by traveling to europe so on and so forth…I think this would go great on my college application for community service that pretty amazing right…I’m just wondering how can I convince my father into letting me participate…He is very overprotective and I am underaged so…There is a great possibility I can’t go…Help me get him on my side my mother said it was okay I just need my Ftahers consent and his consent is the most important

I remember getting them twice. The first one wanted me to go to travel around europe, and the second wanted me to go to australia. i really wanted to go too. i was in the same position you were. But my cousin told me that it might look good on college resume, but it doesnt really help you. you dont learn anything from it.

I guess its just the experience that is interesting. get all the infomation you can get from online and books and things. dicuss it with your dad telling him all the reasons why you should go,. and bring up the reasons why it wouldnt be good for you to go, wihle giving him an explanation of each reason that you can handle it.

[idk if that made sense >>”] hope you can go :]

I got one of those letters today too. I’m not going to do it though. Because the truth is, yeah it would look pretty good on on a college ap., but it’s not necessary unless you’re fairly sure you have a good shot at an Ivy League school. Anything less and I doubt it would change their decision on you. Oh, and if it’s community service you’re looking for, hospitals always look good and I’m sure many other more convenient oppportunities will arise. But good luck any ways, I’m sorry I can’t give you advice on your actual question. But you must be a pretty good student to have gotten one 😉

Hi cutie!

I had/have overprotective paretns too…the best thing you can do is do your RESEARCH and make sure that everything is prepared for him so that if and when he asks questions he will see that you have been thorough. Good luck!
