what does a journal entry (not a diary entry) look like? is it written in essay form? this is for AP lang?

I’ve been keeping a journal for years. A journal is supposed to be more about context rather than the events that happened. I put the events that happened that day in the journal but then spend most of the time on how I feel about it.
I write mine in first person prose generally avoiding second person but as you can imagine, it’s unavoidable.
Journaling is a great way to relax and to gain perspective about life. Good luck in your class and I hope this helped.
