Raising SAT/ACT Test Scores?

Would I be more likely to raise an SAT test score (on the 1600 scale) 100 points or an ACT composite score 2 points?

Thanks for your opinions.

Raising the SATs are going to be easier because they are a flat out test, while the ACTs are a composite of different things.

That’s tough… I’m not sure which is more likely. It also depends on what your scores are. Low scores are easier to raise with studying.

The good thing about ACT is that it is a composite– it’s an average, which is ROUNDED. 🙂 I got 34.5 as a composite, but the grade report says 35!

But I think it would be easier to get another 100 on the SAT. It’s easier to study for, in my opinion, since it’s strictly math and English, where the ACT also has the reading and science reasoning sections, which are harder to study for.

It also depends on you. What were your weak points? Figure out what you specifically need to work on, and concentrate on studying those areas.

Good luck!
