what are the pass grades for GCSE?
I know that colleges look for A-C because they are passes, and I know that an F is a fail. But what does that make a D and E? are they passes or fails? Do colleges accept them as a pass or just A-C?

They are a pass.
They are worth points to the college.
Some colleges will just ask for a minimum number of points.
So my college wanted 40
A = 10
B =7
C = 5
D = 4
E = 3
F=2
U = 0
So even if you got 10 D’s you could still go to the college.
