Do not mistake my supposed harshness for spite or jealousy. Its just that there tends to be a belief that geniuses don’t have to do anything but be themselves without any work whatsoever. However, that IQ score is not enough; grades matter more than anything else when trying to get to college. Trust me, I know. If you have slacked off in school and so have only above average grades(nothing really fantastic), the fact that you’re IQ score is higher than others or you’re in Mensa makes no difference whatsoever. Other ‘normal’ people who worked really hard and have better grades than you would get the place.

Since you do have an above average IQ, you would probably have found school easier. With little or no work, you could probably have maintained an average or above-average standing in class. So don’t waste what you do have, more effort will translate into better results that would surprise everyone, if you have not been doing well up till now.

Now, however, you have to work on reading and writing English (if you go to school in an English-speaking country) and THEN you can get a Bachelor’s, a Master’s and then a PhD.
