No, but I would suggest reviewing the book “Cracking the SAT II: ____(fill in subject) to find any areas you need to strengthen before test day.

Have fun!

Not necessary, but helpful. I took AP Chemistry and only Honors US History before the SAT Subject Tests, and I got an 800 a 790 on them, repectively. So in my case, it was only worth 10 points.

Either way, I recommend getting a test prep book for both tests before you take them because it’s unlikely that your class will cover everything you need to know for the test, even if it’s AP. The SAT Subject Tests cover a different set of information than the AP tests, so to know exactly what you need to study, try the Princeton Review series or www.sparknotes.com.

You dont have to take any AP class to do decently well on SAT subject tests knowledge wise. Usually taking an honors class gives you enough knowledge to be able to do all the problems, however, taking an AP class and the following test will help you with speed and accuracy.

i might advise taking the could SAT2 assessments. that’s what I did final year. for the reason that i grow to be interpreting for the AP attempt on the comparable time, i could desire to kill 2 birds with one stone. I basically studied for the AP attempt final year (in US history + Chemistry) and took the SAT II assessments a pair of week in the previous the particularly AP attempt. I have been given a 790 in US history and a 780 in chemistry. I even have been given some super prepare for the multiple selection area of the AP assessments. i might particularly advise taking the SAT IIs.
