If standardized tests don’t measure intelligence, then why do all my “gifted” friends always do well on them?

Standardized tests do not measure intelligence. They measure how much you retain from learning and how you can effectively problem solve. It often times ends up that “gifted” people are better at both of these things. However, there are also non-gifted people who study and learn how to take standardized tests and do very well too.
