School problem?

School startd for like almost 1 month for me. Im in 10 grade and taking all pre-ap classes…I been doing good ever since i taken pre-ap class since middle school but this year my grade has not been good.

I have been failing chemistry and alghebra 2, and my grade is not above a B in english and world history. I know school juststarted but things are not going good.

So what should i do? I know just get out of pre-ap class then problem will be solve, but my parent are asian and im the only child. They are kinda old an im afraid to tell them that i’m not doing well in school because they think a lot and might get depression problem or something. I dont have any friend to help me on my work. What should i do?

I know when I was that age I had a hard time in chemistry so instead of going to lunch or hanging with friends after school, I stayed with my teachers so they can help me. Tell your teachers what you told said on here and I am sure they would help but you have to want to do the extra work. Don’t mess up your track record when you have been doing so good. Each year of school comes with hard challenges to prepare you for college but I think you can handle it you just need to ask for help. I was always nerdy in school so when I needed help I sometimes forget to ask. I think you will be alright. Good luck. I am good with algebra so if need help I am could maybe be of some assistance.

You should find it in your heart to talk to your parents about this. If you need help, perhaps talking to one of your teachers about it or perhaps a counselor.

From my personal experience, those were the two classes I had the most trouble with. In fact, in my high school, there were two levels of honors (I’m not kidding): those who had all As, and those who would have had all As except for Algebra II and Chemistry! I fell into the second category.

(I ended up Acing chemistry but Charlying Algebra II.)

I would study each subject at least 15 minutes a day, pay attention and take detailed notes in class and ask questions to make sure you are not confused.
