Does a 700 on the Math SAT mean I should rock at math?

What does that mean exactly? I stink in Calculus right now.

A 700 on the Math portion of the SAT basically means that you’re good at algebra 1. that’s about it.

SAT math is algebra 2 and below. i personally got 760 on the SAT math right after taking the algebra2 class. but i do not find calculus to be difficult, most of it is based on basic algebra, geometry and trig anyway. my AP calculus text book looks like it only has about 30-40% calculus in it.

I would say your score is above average for math. Although I don’t think it’s such a big accomplishment, since the SAT math only goes up to algebra II or something. I got a 780 in Math(did horrible in reading/writing) but it doesn’t really mean much to me.

i agree with what that guy said, SAT I is comprehension test, only test u if u know basic stuff, Sat 2 is harder, and AP is the hardest, although i must say that SAT does not only includes A1 but also a little bit of A2 and Geometry.
