What’s the best way to study for the math section of the SAT?

I’m re-taking the SAT November 3rd, and I don’t have much time left! I did HORRIBLE on the math section of the SAT last time, and I really need to know exactly how to study for the Math portion of the SAT this time, and study it RIGHT. Before it’s too late. Please someone help me. I’ve already studied through SAT Prep book, and collegeboard.com tests. I just really need new techniques. If anyone could help me somehow, it’d be much appreciated.

Wow, when I read this question, it sounded as if I was asking this!!!! I am also a high school senior, and I did HORRIBLE on the math section of the SATs as well. I think I guessed on just about every question of the math section. I am doing exactly what you are doing, studying through the SAT books, and collegeboard tests, but the questions on them seemed different from the ones I had on the SAT. I feel hopeless because I am also re-taking it in October AND November, and college apps are due soon!

Since you have already studied through all the books and collegeboard.com, whats left to do is just to re-read everything and make sure you have it soaked in. Just make sure you have the CONCEPTS down of how to solve certain problems. YOu seem more prepared than me so I really don’t know what else to say but good luck. The questions on the SATs were totally random when I took them and were different from the ones I studied off the books, so just focus on the easy questions and just do what you can.

The best way to prepare for the SAT is with a guide or book. From my experience, the best preparation books were princeton review guide, and the tutorfox new sat guide. Used together, I increased my SAT score by about 200 points. Good luck, and please let me know if you have any more questions.
