you did well. you are above average in math and average in reading and writing. you will get a score report that shows you how you ranked in comparison with the kids in your class. the top 5% in the nation are given a certificate that proclaims them “National Merit Commended Scholars” and the top .5% in each state are semifinalists that get to complete for scholariships. this year the cut off for NMCS was about a 200. so you did well (if you add up the numbers and multiply by 10 it is your projected SAT score) and a 1680 is not bad at all ( and i bet your sat score will only get higher. my sat score was 260 points higher than the psats projected it to be!)

Your PSAT score is fine, but not quite Nat’l Merit Scholarship material. In Connecticut, the cutoff last year was 221.

good. however to qualify for the national merit scholarship, you would have to only miss 1-2 ques. on the ENTIRE TEST. my friend missed ONLY 3 and she still didn’t qualify.
