what happens if your absent in highschool to many times?
im scared because i have been absent for at least 4-6 times already as a freshmen in highschool. i feel like this will affect the rest of my life. what would happen? the reason i was absent was because i was sick. what will happen?? will it be ok? what can i do to still go to a good university? thank you

well if you miss too many times youll end up having to go to court and your mom and dad may have to pay fines its not good to start out missing a lot make sure you give the school your dr notes and such if you have them and if you miss again have your mom call and say your really sick and not skipping

you are required to be in school so many days per year/semester. If they are excused absences and you make up your work, you’ll be fine. If there are too many excused absences, you many have to make up days. Too many days can also be flagged and Child Protective Services can be called (extreme). Take a Vitamin C and get to math!! Next time your sick for that amount of time, have your parent call the school and gt your work for you. Talk to your teachers and do some after school extra credit. You’ll do great!

u shouldn’t be that much afraid if u really were sick. and its not that big matter.Mr. ghostrifle u must have thought something before choosing that name just think about that again and go back to school. You ‘ll be fine.I don’t attend at least 3 classes a week but i’m never afraid of my teachers ’cause i know that their job is to teach not to interfere in the business of students ( at least that’s what my judo coach says to motivate me when i come back after holidays)

Having a large amount of (excused) absences is fine for getting into a university, as long as you still pass all of your classes.
You won’t get into trouble with the school unless you start to have a large amount of unexcused absences. If you were sick, then all you need to do is have your parent/guardian call in to the school, and ‘excuse’ you.
