Critical Reading and University of North Carolina(Chapel Hill)?

I have been researching on the collegeboard website and I have noticed that my critical reading score is not in the middle 50%. The middle 50% for critical reading score is ABOUT 600 and I only received a 520. In order to get into college, how important is it to be in the middle 50%? My GPA, class rank, and extra curriculars are great, and my other SAT scores were Math-650 and Writing 550. (My writing was also slightly under the middle 50%.) Any answers will help and thank you for the help!!

I’m a sophomore at UNC-CH and I can tell you that one thing below average will not completely decrease your chances of getting in if you are doing well in everything else. Chapel Hill says it looks for well rounded students, so you just gotta be good overall. SAT isnt a huge factor into getting into carolina. The average constitutes a wide range of scores. If you’re still worried, then get a SAT prep book or even take a class and take it again and focus on the critical reading section, what you can improve on, if you still have time. Oh, and when you complete your application, be sure to spend a lot of time on it to make it as good as you can, and get a lot of people to proofread your essays.
