Ok so I took my ACT the first time and I got an 18…and I FREAKED out! What can I do to score higher? any tips? tricks? good books that would help??

Try getting prep books like Kaplan or the Real ACT Prep Guide. Take the practice tests they have in these books, it will really help you get prepared and you’ll know how to pace yourself with the time limit. A tip: if you’re running out of time and you still haven’t answered some questions, just guess on those because then you’ll have a chance and there’s no penalty for guessing. Try eliminating choices before you choose an answer.
