Gosh darn it!! I really don’t know! I guess people want a band to experiment a little bit with their sound but not change to the extent, where they are practically unrecognisable when compared to their earlier material! But personally, I think bands should be able to sound however the hell they want!! And if the fans don’t like it…well, go find another band you like then! I read an interview with Maynard from Tool and he was asked something like “A lot of your fans miss the earlier angrier sound of Tool, eg. Opiate & Undertow, what would you say to those looking for this same sound in your later albums?” (or something like that :P) and Maynard said, again something like this, “The older albums are out there if people want to hear Tool’s angrier sound but as artists, we have worked through that and got those emotions out, so we can’t do the same thing ’cause we don’t feel like that anymore.” I don’t really know if the way I put that makes sense but basically he was saying that a band has to change their sound as they develop and stuff, and why the hell shouldn’t they?!?! I don’t think they should be critised for that πŸ˜€

Suppose you have changed something 100 times .. so every one time you go, your options become harder to choose and less too

I measure that on the life of HUMANITY and the earth too .. now it seems some boring, time is passing and the actions get old πŸ™

you know, for the songs, they keep doing the same stories with different people
and also for everything, for mobiles : for apple, you may say what are the gonna do next series. they add a fingerprint .. BULLSHIT .. Nothing like first mobile with cam :O “first change”, you see first time !! .. then after time and time it becomes steady and the same πŸ™

Bleedin hearts is right in that this phrase is rather paradoxical in that it is self contradictory; how can things both change and stay the same?

Well, my take on the proverb is that everything will always change; nothing will ever be permanent. It is constant change that makes everything alike; everything shares the feature that it is only temporary.

I think it means the more things appear different on the outside is in truth still the same inside. Things change everyday but not always as intended.

It simply means that we may change methods of doing things but it is always for the same purpose . You may find a new way to get the job done say from the horse drawn postman to the newspaper information system to technological methods , but it will always be so as to communicate with your people .
we always go to work with changing methods but for the same purpose as to look after ourselves and family , to get resources to impress your girl , to grow more food to secure the future e t c . it is always for the same purposes that we do things , although methods may change , reasons remain constant.

It means that even if things seem to change they really haven’t. It is like meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

They can change whatever is in the store-front display window, but regardless of what s presented there, the fact remains that it is a display window whose purpose is to sell you on something, to influence your decisions and your choices. The propaganda we receive is constantly changing, but it is always there, designed to control our minds.
