Ok so i became a freshmen this year in all honors classes which is pretty awesome… but i have soo much freacking homework… i seriosuly dont think teachers realize how much they give… ok so maybe so kids can do it faster than others but sill… this is what i have to to for tommrow…

Math: a wkst, front and back

English: This packet on a short story we read… other people have already dont the packet and they said it has taken them 3-4 hours to do. And i have 20 vocab words to memorize… we have 20 wever week

Latin: Write out or vocab words 4 times… this week we have 10. and start a project that has a time minimum of 7hours

History: fill out a map and read and summarize a chapter in our book

Science: Start a project

I mean come on… i have other things i wish to do on my weekends. I know people say space them and and do them the night we get the asinement,… i do tha and well, dosent help too much =(

I know what u mean. I think they do it because they never succeded at anything in life so they make our lives bad, and probably to get us ready for harder things, like college. But u’d think they would check with other teachers to see how much work their students r doing all up, not just in their class. i mean, one person can only do so much, but we’re expected to do more than what one person would do anyway, so i don’t see the purpose of doing it. And my english teacher was shocked when he realised how much we do in our weekends and they don’t realise its the only freetime we have. And they go on about high school being the best years of ur life, but how can that be true if u spend ur whole 5 day week at school, then spend ur whole weekend doing assignments, its sooo stupid!!!!!

Are you serious? Glad you’re in honors kid, but coming from an English (taught 9th for four years), Social Science, and Earth Science teacher, you’ll get no sympathy from me.

First of all, you spelling should improve.

Second, a worksheet for math front and back–that is approximately 20 or 30 minutes.

Third, a short story in English 9 is approximately 12 pages at the most. A packet is probably three or four pages long, so that will require some dedication, but I’m sure someone in honors can keep up.

Fourth, 20 vocabulary words a week, rather that’s four a day. You can do it.

Fifth, you’re probably not learning Latin, you’re learning Latin roots. I might be wrong though.

Keep up the good work. It all pays off in the end. Remember, friends will leave, Myspace becomes a thing of the pass, and there’s always a newer cell phone to talk with friends just around the corner.

Iin fact, if you look at what kids studied in a typical day 50 or 100 years ago, you would laugh at the light load you have. Seriously.Students had to learn two lanaguages to graduate, or to even apply for university. Many schools required three.

There was a lot of emphasis on written work – and there were no computers then. It was all done by hand.

Today, a lot of time is wasted in class – some kids I know do most of their homework in class while they are waiting for the class to finish doing whatever work they have been assigned. Use spare time – and yes, you do have gaps in the day when you could work on your homework.

RIght now, your job is school. If you have to put in overtime to get through it, that’s just one of the demands of the job. It only lasts for 12 years. If you go to university after you graduate from high school, that’s a whole different ball game. The days are structured differently, the classes are held on a different timetable. So for now, just buckle down and get through it.

I know. i go to an exam school and it’s like totally conceited– they think they’re the best ever and basically have a 2 million dollar library.. Like it’s cool cause it’s likee when I tell someone what school I go to the immediately think i’m smart cuz they know I had to take a test to get in and it’s like older than canada or something, but then I get like 3 hours a homework a night all the time. at my old school, i used to get teachers who would tell me its better for kids to get a limited amount of homework. Now all I hear is, “you are a ____ school student, this is expected of you. DEAL WITH IT.”

and latin. that just sucks. I mean i kinda like latin and stuff, but that class can be awful sometimes lol.

OK…”asinement” is not a typo…it’s a spelling error. So, keep studying.

Second…you are taking honors classes. Don’t brag-*****. It makes you look shallow. Ohh boohoo you are smart and stressed.

Third: Your teachers are demanding because life is demanding for people who are in honors classes.

Fourth: Teachers probably are bitches…but you still have to do the work, regardless. Pace yourself and appreciate that as an honors student…you have to do the work to earn the props.

You can try to complain to the principal with a group of students from that class but nothing will happen to the teacher. Although your gpa sucks right now his class is preparing you for post secondary school while the other kids will do horribly because they aren’t used to teaching themselves anything. It is not ‘unfair’ that they have different teaching styles, you just need to adapt to it.

That it not that much. I am in 6 Honors and AP classes, and I have two to three times that every night. I knew what I was getting myself into, and I appreciate the fact that I am learning more and gaining more experience than my counterparts in “regular” classes. If you think it is too much, you shouldn’t take honors classes.

What were you expecting? You’re in honors classes.

You’ll be mad when you get to college and realize that honors classes don’t make a difference. I aced AP English and AP History in high school and still had to take all the same college courses as everyone else.

because they are bit-ches

its all like bs, i dont even care about school that much anymore, ill be happy to even pass, then waste my free time on memorizing some bs. ima chill through high school, and just get a job in entertainment or something that doesnt require college. so yeah teachers are a bunch of douche bags. i agree that they failed at life, and most of them are on their periods. i mean you gotta admit they failed in life, some 40 year old is either a teacher (failer) or a millionaire (successer). so theyre next to nothing hobos that need to give us a break. although i like substitute teachers, theyre cool when they dont give a damn
