Definately stop by your local high school, or check your school district’s website for information about their alternative high school program.

Yes to both of your questions. In most states schools are required to educate you until your 21st birthday,

A high school diploma is far superior to a GED. Go for the regular diploma if you can. Recognize if you go back to school that at best it will take you at least four years to earn a diploma. You must be serious and get used to the idea that you will be in classes where most of the students will be younger than you.

Going back to school will not be easy but it is the correct thing for you to do.

I would get ahold of your local high schools and have them find out, there might also be an alternative education class, that is like school, but they go with what you need to graduate from high school! Good Luck, and tell your mother she’s an idiot, for taking you out of school!

You are entitled to a free education. If she hasn’t been teaching you while you’ve been out of school you may have to return to middle school. Make an appointment with the high school counselor at your nearby school. They can tell you what to do to enroll again.
