i say yes… and i’m not talkin taking one week out of gym class to talk about the reproductive system. I’m talking STD education, more informative information about pregnancy and how it works (timing wise), more extrensive education on conterception, menstration in females, changes in males, and the psychology that goes with sex, maturety, and relationships….

If you havent noticed, too many kids are on Yahoo! Answers asking questions that should have been covered in school. There are too many 14 year olds asking about sex. One shouldnt be having it if they dont have the knowledge that goes with it. This is a perfect representation and example how a lack of education is costing the youth in this (and other) countries.

No, the schools should not get involved with teachings that are best left to the parents who have the right to impart these teaching to their children according to their beliefs, and family values.

And no the myth that parents do not teach their children is not a justification to use the schools for such instruction.

Parents teach, but maybe not the way the schools, or the prevention program organizers think they should.

Before any school, or teacher gives a survey to children they should be aware of the students rights.

I think that it should be taught in high school, though most of the students will know by then, some may not have gotten talked to about that.

Yes, since it would provide children adequate knowledge about the importance of sex and the changes it could make in their lives.

I think it’s better to get your sex education the old fashioned way, piece by piece.

Yes, my parents would never discuss such things with me. If I didn’t get good information in school who knows what diseases I would have ended up with.

Absolutely. Some parents just won’t teach their kids what they need to know.
