middle school and high school age?

what time do you go to bed and what time do you have to leave to get to school on time. my son has a bedtime of 9pm and has to get up at 6am, be on the bus by 6:45 and his school starts at 7:15. This seems awful early to me, is this a normal time schedule.

Hi, yes it is. When I was in middle school I got up at 7:00 and went out the door by 8:45. I went to bed at 10:00.’

When I started high school I woke up at 5:00 and went out the door by 6:30. My bed time depended when I was done with my homework and projects. In high school you get ALOT of homework.

Does he need all that time in the morning? If he’s just eating breakfast and getting dressed, does he need all 45 minutes? Maybe he could sleep in just 15 more minutes. Have him lay out his clothes the night before, if that’s taking him a long time.

I don’t remember what time it all happened when i was in middle school, BUT in high school, i had to go to bed at 10 (unless my homework was taking longer) and get up at 7 or 7:15. And be out the door by 8:15.

Since he gets up sooo early, 9pm seems early, but it is the best way for him to get all the sleep he needs.

There’s a lot you can do to save time by getting ready the night before. I go to bed around 10:30 or 11 — depending on when my homework is done (LOTS of homework in highschool). I get up at 7:45, out the door by 8:30.

It also depends on how much sleep your son needs. I know people always say that a kid/teen needs at least 9 hours of sleep or whatever, but some people need less sleep then others. I don’t need as much sleep. I can get through school, work, and homework on about 6-7 hours of sleep. It really depends on the kid.

well you probly live in a big city. when i rode the bus i woke up around 6:30 and was on the bus by 7:30. but when i could drive to school i woke up at around 6:55-7:00 and i left my house at 7:45 cuz it only took 15 minutes to get to school and our school started at like 8:12.

i think his school starts really early. especially if they get out at like 3 or later. thats a long school day. it’ll take a toll when he starts wanting to do extracurricular stuff, he’ll be tired all the time.

i’m a midsection-college youngster. that is incredibly the only element I could desire to assert to you: please don’t be uninteresting….or supply relatively long lectures. fairly with this sort of stuff your’re coaching, it could get fairly uninteresting. discover the thank you to make it interactive, hit upon-on-your man or woman, or extra exciting then the prevalent. believe me, young ones will take to it and start to truly such as you. additionally, strengthen distinctive relationships and connections with the scholars. they’ll understand, such as you, and pay interest extra.
