Is it possible to raise my cumulative GPA?

I just finished my junior year of high school with a 3.1 overall GPA and a 2.71 cumulative GPA.

Is it possible for me to raise my cumulative from a 2.71 to a 3.0 in one semester?

What about two semesters?

What’s the highest it can possibly be raised to? (At max I’ll be taking one more AP, but count on none)

Oh, and for people that were going to tell me to work on my SAT/ACT score, etc. instead of worrying about that, I scored a 26 on the ACT the first time I took it, I’ve got extra curricular activities, community service, honors + AP courses, and I currently have an internship at a world renown company in New York City and I’m a junior in high school from Michigan….I just made the mistake of not trying in school my first two years and then making stupid mistakes like not turning stuff in this year.

Thanks for any and all advice you may have, I’ll be starting to apply to colleges in the fall and I’d like to know where I stand.

very possible. make sure you get A+ in all you classes. I had that average when I was in high school and graduated with a 3.2

also take many honor classes. that is a bonus 5pts+ upgrade. so a C+ in one honors class is a B in a regular class. good luck

it all depends on how many credits you have already taken and how many you will take in the next simester(s). Plus even if something is mathmatically possible it doesn’t mean its reasonably possible, straight A’s might pull your GPA up but is it possible for you to get straight A’s? only you can decide that.

Try to find out how your school computes GPA. then look at the classes you will be taking next and estimate what type of grades you think you can get, then compute what your GPA would be based on those grades. I’d say that you would probably be able to pull your GPA up in 2 simesters if you get really good grades but you should do the math yourself to double check.

If you are worried about getting into college here is another option: go to community college first, they won’t care what your high school GPA was as long as you graduated, once you go to Community college the universities will no longer care about your high school GPA and they will only look at your GPA from the community college. So its another option that will let you start with a clean slate.

Good Luck.

The information everyone would need here is all the grades you have received up to this point. Post every grade you got for every class and then I can tell you what you would need.

Yes, you can raise it (gpa) even higher! I did! just get all A’s and B’s, you can even get one C and be okay.

2.71*6=16.26

3.0*7=21

21-16.26=4.74

4.74>4

AKA…NO!
