In New Jersey, how many days can my child miss w/o being required to repeat the grade?
She is in first grade. She missed 26 days of kindergarten due to frequent fevers and we’re worried about a repeat performance this year since she’s just acquired a new fever.

your allowed to have 18 unexcused days before being held back. but if they’re excused by a doctor thats usually fine expecially if the child is in kindergarten.

Take her to the doctor, and get a doctor’s note they can’t do nothing about it. 26 days missed thats pretty bad. Why is she so sick.
