Your first year in high school is considered your freshman year in the USA, but you begin junior high after your 6th grade so technically you are a 7th grader in the USA.

Yes, you are in the 7th grade in USA. Grading in our country is even confusing because it’s different in different areas of the country. It used to be K-6 was elementary, 7-12 was high school. Now, many areas consider 6-8 as middle school and 9-12 as high school. Others consider 7-9 as junior high and 10-12 as high school. In other words, in your country, after 6th grade you have only 4 years before graduation and in ours you have 6 years before graduating.

except your parents flow here this could be confusing to do except you went to an costly boarding college. the two structures interior the U. S. and the united kingdom are very diverse. when you end your GCSEs interior the united kingdom you should do A tiers which interior the united kingdom are the comparable by using fact the final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days of high school and the 1st 3 hundred and sixty 5 days of school/college interior the U. S. as interior the united kingdom you in basic terms choose 3 years of school. interior the U. S. you bypass to extreme college till you’re 18 and bypass to college for 4 years. college is the comparable as college interior the U. S.. we truthfully use the be conscious college extra often. we would even say he is going to varsity to get a graduate degree. Your plan won’t artwork. you should bypass to college to your occupation interior the united kingdom.

It’s kind of hard to say. It sounds like you only have 10 grades where you live whereas the US has 12 (if you don’t count kindergarten). It’s really impossible to tell you the equivalent based on the information you gave.

Based on your age, if you are 12, then yes, that’d be gr. 7. If you are 14, then you’d be grade 9 or what it’s most often reffered to, a freshman.
