No are school is safe but they could to protected schools have like special police for school guarding them its silly a bit but it would be much more safer.

I have actually seen this program on the Glenn Beck show. If you had asked this question a couple years ago I would have had a lot less confidence in my school then I do now. Though we do not practice for this situation, I feel safe with my schools ability to respond. Last year we had a couple bomb threats (all pranks) and the school responded well in my opinion. The police were called in immediately after finding the notes, and the bomb sniffing dogs searched one of the fields to ensure its safety before exacting us onto it.They then proceeded to search the entire school. and patrolled the field where all of the students were.

My school only has 1 armed officer on duty, but we do have surveillance in and around the school to pick up any questionable activity. We also have a couple teachers who are part time police officers in other towns that I feel would know what to do. My town also has one of the best trained and equipped SWAT teams in the area, which doesn’t make sense considering our town is so quiet in terms of crime, but its nice to know that its there.

Even though we do not practice for this and I am not positive if there are plans for if this were to happen currently in place, I feel relatively safe that my community would respond swiftly and appropriately.
