Eighth grade……?

Can anyone give me some tips on being in 8th grade, I’m starting on Tuesday (sept 4th) and I’m a little nervous since high school is next year and I heard that 8th grade is really hard.

Here is my situation:

during the past 2 years (middle school) I’ve never been on honor roll

got b’s and c’s an a once in a while and a d every now and then

failed math for one quarter in 6th grade (3rd quarter)

I didn’t do my homework that much last year (hence poor grades) but I’m changing that this year, does anyone know how I can make that easier for myself?

Can anyone give me some advice???

Also, could you try to help me what I should put on my schedule once I get home from school:

I get home about 4:15 (I ride the bus)

I go to bed at 9:30/10:00

Suppertime usually is between 6:30/7:30

I usually have a snack when I get home.

Well lets start with tonight, get yourself on a good sleep schudule so your not really tired the first day. Then the first day of school take everything in, learn what your teachers like from older friends. First impressions are critical in doing well, so act like a star student, they dont know your not as smart as youd like, then do your homework and study until you feel you know what your doing, explain to your teachers that you want to do good this year. You first homework should be done at its highest potential.

Once the teacher likes you, thell be more apt to help you and let you slide

Honestly, 8th grade isn’t hard. Yes, some parts of it can be challenging, but you should do fine. Colleges aren’t even going to be looking at your middle school grades so don’t even worry about that issue.

Your grades could be better, but it’s good that you’re willing to give an effort. You could try to study harder, organize yourself, and maybe take some challenging courses if they’re offered at your middle school. Really, 8th grade is definitely not as bad as you make it sound to be. This is your last year of middle school so make it fun before you step into high school.

As for your schedule, perhaps you should make time for homework and studying….I mean you have 5-6 hours for it between the time you get home from school to the time you go to bed.

Yeah I hated middle school. Just go home, do your homework, then relax. Also get a hobby b/c that always makes you feel more fulfilled and stuff. Yeah your freshman year is scarey and exciting for like a week, then after that its just like all other school. Ummm yeah and then sophmore year is OK. But dont start worrying already about that. Just stay strong b/c you just entered 4 or 5 of the hardest years of your life. GOOD LUCK
