I bought a high school yearbook, but my picture wasn’t in there. Should I return it?

It’s the one Where you go to your class rank and your name is under the picture. I’m a sophomore in it. I doesn’t even say that I wasn’t pictured in it. Should I return it bc. it was 40 bucks?

Yes, bc a yearbook is for memories so If your not in it then There is no memory of you there. And you paid 40 dollars for something that excludes you! Return it if possible. Yes it is for memories, but when your older and you look back into it how would it feel If you weren’t there?

Did you get a picture taken for it? If not, unfortunately, they probably won’t let you return it. If you did get one taken, though, I would turn in a written complaint, requesting that you be able to keep the yearbook (that way you have memories of that year in school – I don’t have one from my senior year and I totally regret that!) but get your money back. If the teacher/students/whoever sold it to you won’t accept the return, contact someone higher up.

That stinks for you! Hope you can get your money back!

No – one, I doubt they will let you return it and two, is the only reason you bought the yearbook to see your picture? A yearbook is created for you to reminisce upon your high school years.. not just for you to see your picture. People make mistakes and remember that yearbooks are high school publications.

No. Yeah, it sucks that you weren’t in there, but a yearbook is much more than “Look at me!!! I’m in the yearbook!!!” It’s about remembering the good times, the bad times, the sad times, the scary times, and all the times in between. Don’t give that up because you weren’t in there.

unless you bought the book to check out the other students etc.. get your 40 bucks back and file a complaint at the same time…

Did you buy the yearbook just to see yourself?

I can see how you would be disappointed, but don’t you want it to see the other people and activities ?

Absolutely, you deserve to be in the yearbook you bought with your own money.

I would at least ask for your money back, and keep it. If they messed up like that then they need to do something about it to fix it! Just call whoever is in charge and see what they are willing to do for you.

if your picture was SUPPOSED to be there (which it sounds like it was) definitely ask for a refund- that sucks!!

good luck!!
