How to get my grades up? I’m in 5th.?

Hi everybody. Well, a few months ago I asked how hard 5th grade was: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhVDv61w.znwIrG_efJjEwTty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070619202546AAhorDR

Now, I’m asking how to get my grades up.

I’m an A and B student. But, I always stay in A’s.

The big deal is, that I got 1 F in Social Studies and I got 1 F and a D in Sciene.

-Science- I say is the subject that I hate the most.

AND

-Social Studies- Is one of my favorite subjects.

I did extra credit for 1 of my Science projects- Just because my teacher told us that we could do it.

I still HAVENT showed my parents. And I dont want to show them either.

What can I do to get my grades up??

Dont say “STUDY”!! Cause I do study and a lot. Science just isn’t my subject.

well of course “STUDY” is the best way to get your grades up. However it depends on your method of studying. There are tons of ways to study. Everyone learns differently. Here are some tips you can try:

1. instead of just looking at the materials write and rewrite the materials that you are trying to study.

2. make index cards & study from the index cards. take it in small portions. say i’m going to learn 10 cards a night & study every night. The next night learn 10 new cards and review the 10 old cards from yesterday. It is hard to cram all the information in one night into your head.

3. bring a tape recorder into your class. Some people learn better by hearing it over and over again.

It’s just different methods of studying. you’d just have to find out what works for you.

I hope that helps. Good luck.

Americans indeed say Fifth grade.” In Canada, you have some British influences and conventions that we don’t have in the United States. These things can be traced all the way back to 1783 when our two countries were formed out of what was once just British North America. Th U.S. went its own way but Canada continued to maintain close ties with the mother country.
