How is Middle School (from experience)?

I’m going to (actually today was my first day) Middle School and I was wondering is it really busy? Cuz i do other things do like art class and other stuff but I’m wondering if it is really busy? I mean, i took band and they expect us to practice 1 hour a day when i practice piano already (i could’ve tooken wheel but my parents wanted band cuz it’s cool and i think so too). I mean, each class (6 periods) is 15-20 minutes of homework. It’s been boring because they were explaining but does this get hard? because i don’t want to be this stressed kid who can’t even get homework done. i’ve down well in elementary but it’s so much different! i see people that are like a foot taller them me, it’s scary!!! advice would be swell!

In my school, the courseload was a lot starting from the beginning.

We have 8 periods daily, 40-60 minutes each. And for all the classes, we usually have two-three hours of homework everynight.

But I think it depends on where you go to school.

I thought Middle School was fun! I had the best teachers every year…. I knew all the kids….. I had a blast… but now Im nervous about High school! But anyways…. you wont get stressed…. This is my last year in Middle School…. I barely got homework and I got it done fast!! Last year I did running club 2 times a week and I never fell behind! Sometimes I even did my homework! This year I will have to do Running Club again AND make this years Year Book!!! Also dont worry by 8th grade u will be foot taller and u will be lookin down at the 6th graders and they will be thinking the same thing you are right now!

This is my last year in Middle School, and from the past 2 years, I can tell you the only way it gets busy, is if you make it busy. Like if you join a whole bunch of sports, or clubs. But honestly, if you just keep organized, and get to class it really isn’t that busy.

In 6th grade you could only do clubs at my school, I didn’t do any of them. So, in 6th grade, unless you join a club or something, it’s really easy, and not very hectic.

The more you are involved (which is good to be involved) the busier middle school is.

Sometimes though, being busy because you want to makes middle school more fun!

Hope 6th grade goes well.

Oh, by the way, I see people a foot taller than me, and I’m in 8th grade! lol 🙂

Hope this helped!

Don’t worry!!! You will be fine. I am in 8th grade now, but when I started middle school I thought the same thing–weird older people and too much work!!!!!!!!!!! But it gets better–you have more freedom, dances, and overnight field trips (well my school does). Do your homework soon after you get home. The only thing worse than having to do a bunch of homework is having to do it at 11:00PM!! Just don’t break any rules,be polite to teachers even if you hate them and you will be good. Have fun! Good luck!

Its not going to be too tough, but definitely tougher than Elementary.

You might think its too stressful, but really it only preps you up for high school and college.

You’ll learn to manage your time and work.

Don’t worry, it just seems tough cause you’re not used to it, but once you get the hang of it, it wont be a problem.

Good Luck!

First, chances are, you’ll grow (taller, I mean). Second, as long as you can manage your time alright, you should be fine. Middle school just takes some time to et used to.

It is busy, but it settles down. Middle school is full of drama. Don’t get caught up in it.
