How do you become popular in Middle School?
I’m in 6th grade and people make fun of me. I really want to stand up for myself but I never am able to ’cause people keep talking. I want to leave my dorky side off and I want people to see the other popular side of me!

I know its probably really hard dealing with the other students in your class. You shouldn’t focus on trying to be popular, rather try
to develop a set of really good friends that you can always count on and trust.
I dont think there is anyway to become more popular among other students. Its just one of those weird things that either happens or doesnt.
You will come to realize one day that it doesnt matter. What
really matters are the real friends that you still have in your life.

It depends. What kind of “popular” do you want to be? Do you want to be like the “popular” girls that are popular for all the wrong reasons like making out with all the boys, or dressing “sexy”? Or do you want to be the kind of “popular” that people look up to like the Student Council students, or Class Presidents, or Journalism students? It all depends on the kind of attention you want.
I know school and kids are allot different these days than when I was in school many many moons ago, but the basics still apply. Impressing yourself (and your parents) first will be so much more important than anything else. Once you have that down, the rest will follow.

perhaps change your appearance…..your hair style, wear something hip that the “popular” kids don’t wear. also, when people make fun of you, act like it doesn’t bother you one bit. perhaps stare them down and maybe you will put fear in their heads. good luck
